Terms & Conditions
These terms govern the Dribble Rewards loyalty programme run by Double Dribble Group across its New Zealand venues. By joining or using the programme you accept these terms. This is a plain-language summary and is added to over time; it is not legal advice and should be reviewed by a New Zealand lawyer before launch. Last updated: 09/08/2026.
1. The programme & your account
- Membership is free and open to individuals living in New Zealand.
- Accounts are for personal use only. One account per person. You must keep your contact details accurate and your sign-in secure.
- Points belong to the individual member and cannot be sold, transferred, pooled, or combined between accounts.
2. How you earn points
- You earn 1 point for every whole $1 spent on eligible, full-priced items, based on the total shown on your receipt. Points are calculated on whole dollars only and are rounded down — for example a $47.50 eligible spend earns 47 points. Tips, gratuities and service charges are excluded from the amount that earns.
- Points are added when you submit a receipt in the app or email it from your verified address.
- A receipt must be submitted within 7 days of the purchase date. A receipt submitted more than 7 days after purchase — or that is missing, unreadable, altered, or never submitted — will not earn points. Submitting eligible receipts promptly is your responsibility, and we are under no obligation to award points for late or unsubmitted receipts.
- Each receipt can be claimed once, to a single account.
- The amount is read from your receipt, so high-value or unusual submissions may be held for a quick manager review before points are added.
3. What does not earn points (exclusions)
Points are earned on full-priced items (for example high tea, Trust the Chef, and regular menu items). Only one benefit applies to any one purchase: a discount, a promotion and a reward cannot be combined with each other or with earning points — if any one of them has been used on a transaction, that transaction does not also earn points. Points are not earned on:
- Discounted receipts or discounted items. Points are not earned on any amount that has already been discounted, nor on items bought on sale, special, markdown, or as part of a promotion. Points and a discount cannot both apply to the same purchase — because points are themselves a form of discount.
- Staff and other discounts. Where a staff discount (or any other discount) is applied to a transaction, points are not also earned on it. Staff earn points on full-priced items just like any customer, but not when using their staff discount.
- Excluded product categories. Some products don't earn points — including Little Foragers fresh produce, vegetables, milk and grocery lines. We may update the list of excluded categories from time to time.
- Commercial, business, function, event and catering transactions. The programme is for personal customers only — points are not earned on catering, functions, events, corporate, wholesale, bulk or any other commercial or business transaction.
- Third-party delivery & ordering platforms. Orders placed or paid through Uber Eats, DoorDash, Menulog or any other delivery or marketplace platform do not earn points, and points and rewards cannot be redeemed on them. The programme applies only to purchases made directly with us — in our venues or through our own online store.
- Refund or credit-note receipts. A receipt showing a negative total is a refund — it earns no points and no points are deducted for it; it is simply not actioned.
- Gift card or voucher purchases, delivery or service fees, tips/gratuities, and any transaction later refunded, voided, cancelled or charged back.
Paying with a gift card is fine. A gift card (or store voucher) used as a payment method is not a discount — a full-priced purchase paid for with a gift card earns points normally. (Only buying a gift card doesn't earn, as above.)
We may treat a submission as ineligible where a receipt is discounted, commercial, includes only excluded items, or otherwise falls outside these terms.
4. Redeeming rewards
- Rewards (such as a free item or a discount) are redeemed in venue by our staff, who deduct the points from your balance.
- Rewards and points cannot be used together with any other promotion, discount, special offer, or on already-discounted items — one offer per transaction, unless we say otherwise in writing.
- Rewards are issued and redeemed automatically against your points. They are not gift cards, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
5. Points have no cash value — no refunds to cash
Points are a promotional benefit, not money or property. They have no cash value, and confer no ownership rights. They remain ours to administer under these terms. Points and rewards are never exchangeable, redeemable or refundable for cash, card, bank transfer, credit or any other form of payment, in whole or in part, under any circumstances. A refund of a purchase is handled at the venue under normal consumer law; any points earned on a refunded purchase are reversed (clause 7).
6. Points expiry
Points expire 3 years after they are earned. We spend your oldest points first, so points you keep using rarely expire. We may send a reminder before points are due to expire. Expiry applies from the date points are earned and only to points earned under these terms.
7. Returns, refunds & reversals
- Points, rewards and vouchers are not returnable, refundable, or exchangeable for cash.
- If a purchase that earned points is later refunded, returned, cancelled, voided or charged back, the points earned on it will be reversed and removed from your balance.
- Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 in respect of the food and goods you buy.
8. Fraud & misuse
We may withhold or reverse points, suspend or close an account, and remove a balance where we reasonably believe there has been fraud, tampering, duplicate or altered receipts, or any breach or abuse of these terms.
9. Our rights & changes to the programme
- We may change the earn rate, rewards, exclusions, expiry, caps, or these terms, and may suspend or end the programme, at any time. Material changes apply from the date they are published and only going forward.
- We may correct errors and reverse points credited in error, and adjust balances to their correct value.
- We administer and interpret the programme and these terms; where the law allows, our decision on eligibility and points is final.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the programme is provided "as is" and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the programme, points, or their expiry. This does not limit rights that cannot be excluded under New Zealand law.
11. Privacy, data use & retention
- We collect and use your personal information and transaction data solely to operate the Dribble Rewards programme — to identify you, award and track points, process redemptions, prevent fraud and misuse, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell it, and do not use or disclose it for any unrelated purpose, except as required or permitted by law. Full detail is in our Privacy & Programme Terms.
- Your personal details are encrypted at rest; we do not store card or payment details.
- We keep your information only for as long as we need it to run and audit the programme, and then delete or de-identify it. We retain the summary of each transaction and the points it earned so your balance and history stay accurate, and we can verify a transaction against our own point-of-sale records.
- We handle your information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information, and may delete your account in the app at any time (anonymised transaction records may be kept for fraud and audit purposes).
12. Verification & our decisions
- Points are earned by submitting an eligible receipt within 7 days of purchase (clause 2). If you believe points are missing or incorrect, raise it through the app's Send a receipt for review channel.
- We verify claims against the receipt and our point-of-sale records. A receipt that is discounted, not a completed payment, placed through a delivery or marketplace platform, or otherwise outside these terms, is declined or reversed.
- Where a claim cannot be verified, or you cannot provide sufficient evidence, we may decline it. The default outcome of a claim we cannot verify is that points are not accrued, a redemption is not permitted, and no refund is given.
- Our determination of eligibility, accrual, redemption, reversal and of any query is final, to the extent permitted by law. You may submit a claim for review, but we are under no obligation to credit points, permit a redemption, or reverse a decision where the evidence is insufficient or the claim falls outside these terms.
- These terms form a binding agreement between you and Double Dribble Group. Nothing in them limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded under New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986.
13. Governing law & contact
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Questions about the programme or these terms are handled only through the Contact us channel in the app (Account → FAQ) — not at the venue. Venue staff cannot review points, accounts or claims, so please don't raise programme queries with them.
We will keep adding to and updating these terms as the programme develops. The current version always applies.
